I know very little about Cadmons call. The only cd, besides this one, that I own, is 40 acres, which I hear is one of the best. This cd is about the same. Actually, in terms of worship, I think this one is better with the song, "Jesus is All I Need" reminding belivers who listen to this cd that they need not money or riches as long as they have Chrsit.
The cd also does a good job in presenting some of the view points of the untouchable caste of India (the Dahlites I think they are reffered to in the cd). The Dahlit hymn is amazing! It has passion telling the prime minister of India to look past the stupid Hindu religion and force the others castes to give these people fair treatment! Also, if you buy this cd, read the lyrics! The little phrase repeated over and over again means "With God all things are possible". Just a good reminder that through hardship with God there's hope.
The rest of the cd will keep you entertained with a mixture of Indian music (music from India) and adult contemporary. The quality and mixture meet a good compromise leaving the ears not stail with dull tones that are the same, keeping the mind moving as it focuses on each note and word. Yet, it also remains static to a certain extent, keeping pretty much to the same style, the mixture of the two, allowing the ears to not get overwhelmed with what is being heard.
Basically, buy the cd if you want something worth your money.
incredible mission-centered music Nov 3, 2005
this is one of the best christian albums i have listened to. It is focused on the fact that God is glorified through christians and the work of the cross. The music is very well done. Bravo!
The latest and amazing Caedmon's Call album Jul 21, 2005
'Share The Well' is the latest and most recent album from this band who have finally struck absolute gold in this truly amazing sojourn of a CD. The natural progression of Caedmon's Call has the band touring Christian refuges in Ecuador and India and the music of this band is transformed. The pop sounds are now shelved for a new world feel, a rock and new age come-together with the music traditions of Latin America and India mixing with the sound of Caedmon's Call that brings about a beautiful sound. This CD includes the hit song 'There's Only One' that is probably in my opinion the best hit song of Caedmon's Call for a long time. And for the first time this Caedmon's Call CD is enhanced with the story of the CD 'Share The Well' as well as scenes from the visits to Ecuador and India. This CD is a must for any fan of this band or contemporary christian music. All the songs are special in their own way but my picks were; 'Share The Well, 'Bombay Rain' 'Sarala' and 'Wings Of The Morning'.

I just listened to this album. Like so many others, it immediately moved me to tears (still does) and especially intercession for not only the Dalit, but all suffering as they do. I find it refreshing to listen to a music that matches the cry of my heart for the oppressed, the nations. As for those who oppose the Dalit Hymn, I would encourage you to visit any of a number of sites dedicated to the suffering of the Dalit before discouraging their freedom and political songs asking for it. Read about their persecution. We're talking about the same God who delivered His people from similar circumstances in Egypt, no? This is an incredible album, and so much more. This is an experience. More, please!
