I love this book because she is so mature when the book starts(she is still mature every where else too)even though she is just 7. I think this is a really good girl book but NOT for boys AT ALL! :) It is a really good choice for reading for girls 9-12. I love it!!!!!!!! |

 | A little Princess-Emma's Review Apr 11, 2010 |
A Little Princess is a warm and loving book that follows Sara Crew's life. Sara is a rich little girl who has the finest clothing, eats the most delicious foods, travels around the world and gets the finest toys. Her whole world changes when her fortune is lost. She becomes a maid who sleeps with rats and mice. But with her imagination she learns how to get through the unfortunate days of being a beggar girl.
I recommend this book for all ages. Kids and adults will both love it. When I got this book I couldn't put it down. The author describes the characters in the story very well so the reader can follow along. |

 | Good morals but the author is a little repetitive Sep 23, 2009 |
| As much as I liked this book and Burnett's others (Little Lord Fauntleroy and The Secret Garden), it's clear that Francis Hodgson Burnett picked a theme and stuck with it. I can imagine that these books were written for children as moral tales, and I think they serve their purpose well. All of the protagonists are well-behaved at the end of the story, and good things come to little children who control their emotions, are polite, and don't throw temper tantrums or complain. These are great books for children because of their morals, but I'd wait a month or two between reading one to go on to the next; otherwise, they might feel a little bit repetitive. |

 | True nobility lies in our choices May 26, 2009 |
| A fabulous book emphasizing that true nobility lies in our choices. This book teaches the importance of gratitude, keeping a cheerful disposition, having charity, serving others, imagination, and always remembering who you really are. |

 | A Book for all Genders May 5, 2009 |
| There are so many wonderful detailed reviews for this book, I will not go into the beauty of the characters and the clever writing... I would simply add that as a mother of three boys, I was uncertain to the appeal of this book. I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend this book for boys not only girls. |
