"How to be a Christian in a Postmodern World"
A new worldview is emerging. The name for it is "postmodern." What does it mean? How does it challenge disciples of Jesus Christ today? And how can we communicate the gospel with freshness and power to postmodern people?
Milton Jones answers these questions in a simple and engaging way. He finds biblical answers by focusing on Paul's letter to the Colossians. He shows how Paul's answer to a church threatened by a "hollow and deceptive philosophy" is also our answer today: Christ--no more, no less.
"The guarded good news of postmodernism is that postmoderns have a tremendous desire for spirituality. The bad news is that they have lost touch with the reality of Jesus."

|I was misled by the title "How to be a Christian in a Postmodern World" I thought the book would tackle how we can be certain of Christian truths among so many choices. I guess this book was more of a "what" than "how." It describes what postmodernism is in simple terms and asserts Christianity's monopoly on truth. To the question of "how," all I could find was that "Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so." No more than that.|
Aside from that disappointment, the book was alright. Short, nice anecdotes. But if a reader is trying to get some philisophical artillery for discussion, Jones doesn't have too much to offer.
