Reviews - What do our customers think?
not for Cath. and Orth.  May 30, 2010
It's missing several books of the Scriptures
so, what, Catholics and Orthodox citizens arent Americans????

How not to think like a Christian Patriot, Bible.  Apr 13, 2010
Romans 13 should make it clear, we are to submit to authority over us. Mind you, this was written by Paul to the church in Rome at a time under Nero's rule, who dipped Christians in wax and burned them like candles in his courts. If there is ever an "extreme" example of an oppressive government, one which we are told to submit to and not concern ourselves with usurping authority over... it is the one Paul was under when he told us that we should submit to authority.

Sadly, not only did the the "patriots", the founding fathers, rebel against the powers (governments) in play, but they sought to establish their own nation. Supposedly looked to as being a "Christian nation", if such a thing short of eternity were even possible. It is very possible to acknowledge "God", believe in "The Almighty", intellectually entertain a "Creator", but it is another thing altogether to know the Lord, and follow Christ. The founding fathers, these men who were in fact patriots of America (this is the only thing they were patriotic to), were Christian flops who were enemies of the cross, and walked CONTRARY to the call of God, in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

That makes this "Bible", which argues the opposite... and tries to inspire us to some kind of localized Christianity, by associating our hearts and minds on a country, when there are many countries... instead of GOD ONLY, and JESUS, the reason we are alive and live today... is deception. And, this book, is full of deception, from margin to margin. The only truth in this book is the Bible itself. Which really just makes this good food, mixed with poison. And, this has an ample ratio of poison to food, to kill the soul.

Just because a person is over the river, across the street, or even the ocean, doesn't mean that we are free from the governmental powers in this world and therefore free to establish (as Christians), one of our own. We don't establish them, and WE don't determine who they are. THEY determine who they are, to us, as they operate under the rules, powers, and principals of this world that God sovereignly established them in. Nowhere in God's Word are we commanded to find a place where no government is (so we think), and establish one of our own. We already belong to one! It's in heaven where our hearts should be. We are only told simply, to submit. Whether it be Britain, or the Indians who owned the lad, you can be sure, someone's sovereign rule was being undermined by disobedient Christians (if they were in fact Christians), who acknowledge God with their lips, but whose hearts were far from Him.

A follower of Christ should understand that His kingdom is not of this world, and trying to dominate the world through politics, and power, "as the gentiles do", is futile, and contrary to the will of God we have as followers of Christ. The founding fathers of America, though many certainly acknowledged "God" and "The Almighty" with their lips, were no doubt far from Him in their actions. One would think if these were men of great Christian character, and men of "political action", the lives of the Indians would have been spared greatly, and there would have been another war altogether as the Christians banded together with any Indian tribes willing to fight with them, to protect their families from being slaughtered by the invading "Americans".

Luke 22:25-30

25 And He said to them, "The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those who exercise authority over them are called `benefactors.' 26 But not so among you; on the contrary, he who is greatest among you, let him be as the younger, and he who governs as he who serves. 27 For who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves.
28 "But you are those who have continued with Me in My trials. 29 And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me, 30 that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel."

But, this didn't happen. Because the founding fathers weren't concerned with having a heart close to God, they were concerned with their own comforts in having a "free nation", in this world, as if such a thing is a noble idea, or something we should be seeking after.

Hebrews 13:13-14

13 Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach. 14 For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come.

I already belong to a nation, and it isn't a part of any continuing city on this Earth. It doesn't operate by the principals of this world, in any way. Righteousness is not established in government, judgments of men, or anything like that. It is established in faith in the One Who died for our sins, and His Kingdom is in heaven, where our citizenship is.

Philippians 3:18-21

18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame--who set their mind on earthly things. 20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

Perhaps the founding fathers were ignorant of the Word of God. That's fine. But we should recognize that, and stop honoring them as men of Christian principal, who achieved things that we as Christians should set our hearts and minds on. They achieved no greater thing than the thousands of other conquerors who set their minds to political gain, freedom, and power in this world. They didn't achieve the things we should be putting our hearts and minds to. No, they rebelled against nations, and peoples, and stood by as the foreigner (in their mind), the Indian, was slaughtered.

Anyone who "loves" this Bible, has something seriously out of tune with the Spirit of God, and His Word for us. And, by the looks of its ratings... they are many. God help us.

The American Patriot's Bible  Apr 5, 2010
Because this was to be an 'American Patriot's Bible' we were very VERY disappointed to see President Barack Obama's information in there - as we do NOT consider him an American Patriot in any sense of the word; unlike our Founding Fathers. The Bible, other than that, is fine. Signed - Two Teaparty-ers.

Awesome book. Not only is this book The Word of God which is most Important. It has articles about our Founding Fathers Faith  Mar 23, 2010
I highly recommend this Bible to anyone who is interested in learning more about God and how our Founding Father's used their fatih in God to form a more perfect union, The United States of America.

I plan on purchasing more copies for those in my family who love God and and love American History.

We are currently hosting a Small Group Study of our US Constitution in our home and I find the information in this Bible very valuable in our studies.
