| I bought this Bible as a gift for myself when I returned to the church after a 30 year "leave of absence". It's written in an easy-to-understand way, and I love the way the special features called "Cornerstones", "First Steps", "Off and Running" and "Big Questions" explain things and answer questions in ways that other Bibles don't. I now own several different Bibles, but this is still my favorite, and I've since purchased one for both my (young adult) children. I recommend this bible to brand new Christians, those returning after an absence in faith as I was, or those who have been in their faith for years. | I purchased this Bible because a family member of mine in prison got one through the Christian fellowship at San Quentin. He was very impressed with the reading tracks and notes by Pastor Greg Laurie. As I am a member of Calvary Chapel and a new believer myself, I got one of my own. It's easy to understand, easy to read, the reading tracks are simple and informative and this Bible has answered so many of my questions.
