 | Excellent intro to the NT Nov 22, 2008 |
Anatomy of the NT is an excellent book for the beginning student or Christian who is looking to deepen his or her understanding of scripture. The format is easy to follow and understand. One unique feature is that the author has addressed pertinent questions about various biblical issues and then gives the reader an answer(s) based on many different findings (All of which are "bible" based.)
Obviously, AOTNT has been well received since it is already on its 6th edition and has been around for approximately 4 decades. | | | | Scripturally Solid and Practical NT Survey Jul 28, 2006 |
| I picked up the 4th edition of this wonderful book quite by chance at a used book sale. I was thoroughly impressed by both it's scholarship and also the simple, easy-to-follow-along format in which the entirety of the NT was presented. That this book is published by McMillan and Co., a secular publisher, is equally surprising, and is indicative of how well-received this book has been by those never before exposed to the reality of the Biblical gospel message for today. If you want to better witness your faith Biblically to non-Christians, reading this book, next to your Bible, will give you the needed motivation and the "know-how." I strongly recommend this book!! | | | | O ye of little faith! Jun 19, 2003 |
| This book is for you if you're a friend of the German school of unbelief. Or if you're a fan of the Jesus seminar. According to these authors, Jesus wasn't sure of his role, the gospels weren't written by the Apostles, the church inserted words in Jesus's mouth, and so on. Taken to its logical conclusion, one would have to believe that Jesus was a raving lunatic and the "authors" of the false gospels were liars ranking alongside the the recent star of the New York Times. No thanks. I'd rather believe the accounts of those living within 100 years of these events, not this work from disbelieving scholars of the 20th century. Thankfully, I bought this book used! | | | Write your own review about Anatomy Of The New Testament (Sixth Edition)
